Description
Jet JWDS-2244 drum sander is designed for professional use with a sanding width of 560mm and the Patented SandSmart speed control system. Thanks to the open frame structure, you can also use the sander to sand tabletops and other wooden pieces up to 1120mm wide that come over the sanding drum by sanding both sides separately.
The variable-speed rate permits you to choose the optimal feed rate for a full range of projects, while the Sandsmart™ feature continuously monitors the load on the drum motor to prevent an overload situation.
Open Stand has a large 95 x 48cm storage shelf where you can keep all your sanding belts and accessories. Legs have rubbers feets and pre-drilled holes for mounting wheels which makes it easier to move around the shop.
- Self-cooling, precision-machined and dynamically balanced extruded aluminum drum is designed to dissipate heat and protect the work surface from heat-damage
- Sandsmart™ variable-speed rate permits you to choose the optimal feed rate for a all types of wood
- The mirrored design of the dust hood optimizes dust collection preventing chips and dust from getting between your work-piece and the finish. Dust Hose holder prevents hose from falling into the conveyor belt.
- Conveyor bed is easy to set parallel with the sanding drum by simply turning a knob
- Sanding belt is easy and fast to change without any tools. You can cut right size sanding belts for the machine out of 25 meter sanding roll.
- Emergency on/off switch stops sanding belt from spinning in under 10 seconds after shutdown
- Abrasive conveyor belt keeps workpiece in place during sanding
- Drum Sander is delivered with pre-installed G80 sanding belt.
- Table extension is sold separately.

The machine has now been in daily use for a year and is in good shape in all respects. The table can be precisely adjusted to its position, so that the pieces are of equal thickness even if you drive through 550 mm wide blanks.
The dust removal is good and the sanding rolls I bought from the same store last a long time if used correctly
